Caring for Friends was founded on the premise that no one should be hungry or alone in a world of caring people.
To fight both, we deliver food + friendship to seniors, veterans, and those with disabilities by bringing a week’s worth of meals and visiting with our clients. We also make monthly calls to check in and see how clients are doing.
Jim and Linda Wilson, originally from Pittsburgh, have recently relocated to the Philadelphia area. Jim is a retired fireman of 40 years, and Linda was an in home caregiver for seniors for over 25 years. Both Jim and Linda have a passion and a calling to be a life-giving resource to the community around them. That is why the Mercy Truck was launched.
